Free online therapy for teens in NYC. Through Teenspace, young people ages 13-17 can text or message with a licensed therapist and also schedule monthly video sessions
Offers a wide range of free services for young people, including mental health counseling. Short-term therapy is available for teens and young adults. To become a member, youth can sign up for free by completing a quick intake either online or in person at The Door to access counseling and other support services.
Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center
Free, comprehensive health services to young people, including mental health counseling and therapy. They accept teens and young adults from anywhere in NYC – you do not need insurance (the center will help enroll you in insurance if possible, but you can receive care even if uninsured). The center has trained counselors, psychologists, and social workers
NYC Well – 24/7 Mental Health Hotline
Helpline for anyone in NYC facing emotional distress, run by the city. You can call 988 (or 1-888-NYC-WELL), text “WELL” to 65173, or chat online to speak with a trained counselor anytime, in many languages. You can access support 24/7, 365 days a year.
